Note: Rachel Robles’ name is mistakenly put on the volunteer list for Frontier College this Friday. Please disregard (unless you really want to go :P).
The Byrne Creek Leo Club is working with Frontier College to host a Scrabble Night fundraiser and Community Fair in the atrium on Friday April 29th. 5:00-9:00pm. Frontier College is a non-profit, national literacy organization which has involved its dedicated volunteer tutors in our after-school Success program. We would like to invite you to join us and show your support. Admission is FREE to Byrne Creek students, staff, families, and the broader community. Light refreshments provided.
The feature of the night will be a Scrabble Tournament. Entry into the tournament will be “by donation” and any interested players are asked to pre-register by contacting the event coordinator, Kathy Powelson by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 604-713-5848. There will be fabulous prizes and no shortage of excitement!
But there will be plenty to do whether you’re an avid Scrabble player or not! Our goal is to maximize attendance to this event and bring the community together! Please feel free to come as a tournament spectator and also check out the Community Fair with booths from our student clubs and local partners showcasing local events and services.
